In 2025 AWP trialed a number of training sessions on a weekly basis, delivered by top end coaches aimed at personal development for players in the region. The feedback was very positive, and as a result we are expanding these sessions in 2026.

Ben Goodwin, Justin Pickering and Jackson Wiggans will be coaching these sessions, with a fourth coach to be confirmed. 

The sessions are open to players born 2010/2011, male and female. The goal is for our coaches to help the players towards making NZ selections in the (near) future, developing skills, technique and tactical capability- for both field players as well as goalies. 

The location and dates for the sessions will be as follows:

21 February, 15:00-16:30 @ Diocesan

28 February, 12:30-14:00 @ Sacred Heart College

7 March, 15:00-16:30 @ Sacred Heart College

14 March, 15:00-16:30 @ Sacred Heart College

21 March, 15:30-17:00 @ Diocesan

Registration Fee: $225 GST Inc, per registered individual.
