Before you enter.

These terms apply to every team entered in the 2026 Auckland Fast4 League.

By submitting a team entry, the club confirms that it has read, understood and accepts these Terms and Conditions together with the Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules and any additional requirements published for Fast4.

Player eligibility.

16 years +

Players must be at least 16 years old to take part in the 2026 Auckland Fast4 League.

Player eligibility remains subject to the Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules and any Fast4-specific requirements.

Game days.

Sundays

Fast4 runs across five Sundays from 1 November to 29 November 2026.

Fast4 is a short-form competition designed to create high-involvement water polo across a compact season.

Team lists.

20–31 Oct

Official Fast4 team lists must be submitted during the published team-list window.

Team-list submissions open 20 October and close 31 October 2026.

Short-form. High involvement.

Fast4 is Auckland Water Polo's compact short-form competition, played across five Sundays in November.

The format is designed to keep games moving, create plenty of involvement and provide a fast, competitive finish to the Auckland water polo year.

Registration window

2 September – 31 October 2026 Fast4 team registrations

All team entries must be submitted through the official Auckland Water Polo online registration process by 31 October 2026.

Entries provided by email, message or other means will not constitute an official competition entry unless Auckland Water Polo confirms otherwise.

Authority to enter

The person submitting an entry must be authorised to do so on behalf of the entering club.

Submission of an entry confirms the club accepts these Terms and Conditions, the Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules and any Fast4-specific requirements.

Acceptance

Submission of an entry does not automatically guarantee a place in the competition.

Auckland Water Polo may determine the final number of teams, divisions and competition structure once entries have closed.

2026 Fast4 entry fee

$450 incl. GST Per team

The entry fee for the 2026 Auckland Fast4 League is $450 including GST per team.

Entry fees will be invoiced to the club responsible for the team.

Minimum age

Minimum age 16 years

to take part in Fast4.

Players must be at least 16 years old to participate in the 2026 Auckland Fast4 League.

Player eligibility is also subject to the Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules and any Fast4-specific requirements published for the competition.

Online team lists

Every team must submit an official team list through the Auckland Water Polo online team-list process.

2026 TEAM LIST WINDOW 20–31 October Closes 31 October 2026

Clubs are responsible for ensuring the information submitted for each player and team official is accurate.

Any additions or changes after the published deadline remain subject to Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules and approval where required.

Competition period

The 2026 Auckland Fast4 League runs from Sunday 1 November to Sunday 29 November 2026.

Sundays only

Fast4 competition games are scheduled on Sundays across the five-week competition window.

Scheduling requests

Auckland Water Polo will determine the final competition draw based on competition requirements and available pool space.

While reasonable requests may be considered, individual club or team scheduling preferences cannot be guaranteed.

Once the draw is published, teams are expected to fulfil their scheduled fixtures.

Auckland Water Polo will determine the final competition structure once team entries have been received.

This may include decisions relating to:

  • competition divisions
  • team grading
  • pools
  • number of rounds
  • competition format
  • finals formats
  • game duration
  • venues and scheduling

Auckland Water Polo may move teams between proposed divisions where required to create an appropriate and workable competition.

The current Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules apply to the 2026 Fast4 League.

Clubs, coaches, managers and players are responsible for understanding the rules that apply to the competition.

Any Fast4-specific rule variations, eligibility requirements or technical instructions published by Auckland Water Polo also form part of the competition requirements.

Competition rules & resources

Clubs and teams must complete any referee, table, pool-control or other competition duties allocated through the competition draw.

Where a club is responsible for supplying an official, it must ensure the person undertaking the role is appropriately capable of completing the allocated duty.

Allocated competition duties form part of participation in the Auckland League.

Clubs are responsible for supporting a safe, respectful and positive competition environment.

This applies to:

  • players
  • coaches
  • team managers
  • team officials
  • supporters

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intimidating or otherwise unacceptable behaviour towards players, referees, officials, volunteers or other participants will not be accepted.

Clubs may be required to assist Auckland Water Polo or venue staff in addressing inappropriate behaviour associated with their teams.

Teams and participants must comply with reasonable Auckland Water Polo health and safety requirements and the requirements of the venue in which a game is played.

Venue emergency procedures take precedence during an emergency.

Teams must not knowingly allow a participant to take part where doing so creates an unreasonable health or safety risk to that participant or others.

Competition incidents and injuries requiring reporting must be submitted through the relevant Auckland Water Polo process.

Auckland Water Polo may make reasonable changes to the competition where circumstances require them.

This may include changes caused by:

  • pool closures or changes in pool availability
  • team withdrawals
  • changes in team numbers
  • health and safety requirements
  • venue requirements
  • official availability
  • other operational circumstances

Changes may include fixtures, venues, divisions, competition formats or playing times.

Where possible, affected clubs will be advised as soon as practicable.

Auckland Water Polo is responsible for administering the competition for the benefit of the competition as a whole.

Competition decisions will seek to balance the needs of individual teams with the need to provide a fair, safe and workable regional competition.

Where the Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules provide a specific dispute, review or appeal process, that process must be followed.

Submitting an entry

What your club is agreeing to.

By submitting a team entry for the 2026 Auckland Fast4 League, the entering club confirms that:

It is authorised to enter the team.

The information submitted is accurate.

It accepts responsibility for the $450 incl. GST entry fee.

Players used by the team will meet the minimum age requirement.

The official team list will be submitted by 31 October.

The team will fulfil its scheduled Sunday fixtures.

Allocated competition duties will be completed.

Auckland Water Polo Competition Rules will be followed.
